Streamex names former Microsoft and PayPal designer as VP

Streamex Corp. (STEX) appointed Kori Handy as Vice President of Product and Design, the company announced. Handy brings 18 years of experience in fintech and software platform development.

Handy previously worked at Microsoft, PayPal, DraftKings, and Expedia. Most recently, he served as Product Design Leader at Groundfloor, a real estate investing platform with more than $2.5 billion in assets under management. At Groundfloor, he led a platform redesign that resulted in a 32% increase in activation rates and a 27% increase in cash deposits, according to the press release.

Before Groundfloor, Handy was Head of Product Design at High Circle Banking, where he helped develop a banking platform for high-net-worth individuals. He also founded Kepler Savings, a retirement fintech platform that worked with brands including Taco Bell, KFC, and Wendy’s.

At Streamex, Handy will oversee product strategy, customer experience, and design systems for the company’s GLDY token and future products. GLDY is described as a gold-backed, yield-bearing tokenized security.

"Kori brings a rare combination of product vision, startup intensity, and elite design execution," said Henry McPhie, Streamex’s co-founder and chief executive officer.

Streamex focuses on tokenization of real-world assets, starting with commodities. The Winter Park, Florida-based company trades on NASDAQ under the ticker STEX.
