As you may know, SpaceX worked with Nasdaq to change the rules and they will be included in the Nasdaq 100 index.
I own a fair amount of QQQM and do not want any exposure to SpaceX at anywhere near the anticipated valuation.
What is the best and most cost effective way to hedge this exposure? I’d prefer to reduce hassle on my end. I could buy puts but that opens up new risks and operational work. Shorting could also work but that introduces additional costs.
Sell QQQM altogether and pay capital gains?
Also, do we have clarity on when they will be included in the index after trading starts? Is it immediate?
