  • Analyst Ross Gerber suggests Apple (AAPL) is poised to be a major beneficiary of the AI revolution, not necessarily through developing its own AI, but by integrating AI capabilities into its existing ecosystem. The potential for an enhanced Siri and AI agents that can act on user data across Apple devices could drive significant upgrade cycles and unlock new levels of productivity, potentially making older devices seem obsolete. This integration could unlock the full potential of the Apple ecosystem, leading to substantial economic and productivity gains.
'Apple could be the biggest winner in AI.' Here's why.

Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management CEO Ross Gerber joins Yahoo Finance to explain why Apple (AAPL) has the capacity to effectively win the artificial intelligence (AI) race.

What do you make of our our new and improved Siri, Ross?

The proof is in the pudding as they say, once Siri actually does something intelligence for me, like I love the presentations and all, but when it actually does intelligent things for me, I'll be extremely happy. So so far that hasn't happened, so I'm waiting for my Siri AI.

But boy, the rest of AI is phenomenal, as long as it's not Apple's, right? So this is a seminally important moment for Apple. We're ready for AI to take over Apple devices which knows everything about us, that can totally unlock the Apple ecosystem in a way that's never been before, not only just from a economic perspective, from from really a productivity perspective.

When you're using Apple, it's all your from your contacts to your photos, to your text messages, to, you know, even the private areas of your phone, it knows everything, plus it can act as an agent to take actions, which is what AI really needs to do to increase productivity, like book that restaurant at Balltaire for me, you know, see if it's available on Tuesday, but actually book it, and Apple will be able to use the apps on your phone for you.

So, it unlocks AI agents in a way that no other, um, I think device that we own could do it. So, that's what I'm saying. Apple could be the the biggest winner in AI without actually developing their own AI system.

How many do you think will upgrade based on, hey, a new and improved series?

If it works, 100% of the people. Like, it will make your old phone seem kind of useless, you know. Like, there's so many AI actions that I take for work that maybe work better on a PC, but when I think about my personal life, like make a cute video about my vacation from last summer with my family that I can send to my wife to try to convince her about the vacation I'm planning for this summer, you know, like it could just make a really cool video.

Now, Apple can still kind of do these things, but not just through, you know, verbal prompts. So, it opens your iPhone up to becoming a real action taker for your life versus like a passive information giver.
