- The article discusses Datavault AI's (DVLT) potential to capitalize on the tokenization trend in financial markets. DVLT's acquisition of NYIAX, with its past IP agreement with Nasdaq, suggests a strategic move to embed itself in the emerging tokenized securities infrastructure. If successful, DVLT could see significant upside as tokenization gains traction, potentially impacting traditional exchanges like Nasdaq and NYSE.

I think DVLT is getting overlooked because people are focusing on the wrong angle.
Most see “AI + tokenization” and instantly assume it’s another buzzword combo. I did the same at first. But once I actually looked at the numbers and the positioning, it started to feel different.
Let’s start with something simple.
In 2025, Datavault AI reported about $39.1M in revenue, with Q4 alone coming in around $33M. That’s not gradual growth, that’s a step change. They also reported their first profitable quarter, which is something you don’t see often in companies around a ~$100M market cap.
So already, from a pure numbers perspective, this isn’t just a “story stock”.
But the part that really caught my attention is where they’re trying to position themselves.
Financial markets have always grown in layers. Stocks, futures, indices, options, ETFs. Each one didn’t replace the previous system, it expanded it.
Right now, Nasdaq sits on roughly $32.27T in listed market cap and NYSE around $32.20T. That’s over $64 trillion built on top of layered financial infrastructure.
And in 2026, tokenization is starting to move from concept to actual implementation. The SEC has already moved forward with Nasdaq’s tokenized securities framework, and NYSE is working on tokenization initiatives.
That’s where DVLT’s move becomes interesting.
They signed a definitive agreement to acquire NYIAX, which isn’t random. NYIAX had a 2017 joint IP agreement with Nasdaq tied to exchange-related patents. That suggests real infrastructure connections, not something being built from scratch.
So instead of asking “is tokenization hype”, I think the better question is:
When DVLT manages to position itself inside the next layer of financial markets, how big of a deal they become then?
Because historically, the biggest upside comes from companies that get embedded early.
