- The post discusses the potential value of a tool that aggregates and analyzes earnings data across various indices, sectors, and industries. While the post itself doesn't directly influence the market, the idea suggests a demand for better earnings tracking and analysis, which could indirectly improve market efficiency and inform investment decisions.

Are there any good applications or sites that do a good job of tracking earnings?
I've been thinking about building something that tracks every earnings announcement made, giving an aggregated view (e.g. beat vs missed; YOY eps growth) by index (S&P 500, Russell 3000, etc.), sector, and industry. And also providing a list of upcoming earnings with these filters.
Would people find that helpful?
I asked Gemini and it failed--miserably:
"Give a complete list in a spreadsheet that outlines every company (including ones beyond the S&P) that beat or missed their latest earnings."
"I encountered an error doing what you asked. Could you try again?"
