Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Information Technology and Media sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 1.06%.

The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP), which rose 8.86% or 2.59 points to trade at 31.81 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 1.77% or 0.40 points to end at 22.98 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was up 1.42% or 0.19 points to 13.59 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Rainbow Tours SA (WA:RBW), which fell 5.42% or 8.00 points to trade at 139.70 at the close. CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) declined 3.21% or 9.40 points to end at 283.70 and X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:XTB) was down 2.93% or 3.22 points to 106.84.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 340 to 211 and 92 ended unchanged.

Shares in Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 8.86% or 2.59 to 31.81.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.06% or 0.99 to $93.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.32% or 1.35 to hit $103.26 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 3.04 to trade at $4,749.96 a troy ounce.

EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.07% to 4.24, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.12% to 3.62.

The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 98.41.
