Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.46%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal & Household Goods and Software & Computer Services sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.46% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which rose 5.04% or 15.10 points to trade at 315.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) added 3.38% or 16.80 points to end at 514.20 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was up 2.12% or 5.40 points to 257.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 2.78% or 4.55 points to trade at 159.00 at the close. Genmab (CSE:GMAB) declined 2.66% or 49.00 points to end at 1,790.00 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 2.26% or 4.60 points to 196.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 57 to 55 and 26 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.86% or 2.61 to $93.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 3.73% or 3.54 to hit $98.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.00% or 0.04 to trade at $4,823.56 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.21% to 6.35, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.47.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 98.06.
