Key insights
- The post discusses the speculative nature of OKLO and X Energy, two companies involved in mini nuclear plants, backed by Altman and Bezos respectively. It highlights the high valuations despite the lack of proven technology. While the backing of prominent investors could drive short-term price increases, the long-term viability and market hype are uncertain, posing a risk for investors. The overall impact on US equities is slightly negative due to the speculative nature of the stocks.

So, I was browsing Reddit for some insights on valuable stock options and I came across an interesting topic: mini nuclear plants.
As far as I know about it, and i know very little:
OKLO - main investor Altman
XE - main investor Bezos.
Neither company has a working prototype, a concrete concept, or anything to prove their tech is a viable solution yet. However, their valuations are already incredibly high, especially OKLO. X Energy is new on a market, under a month so its also hard to get info about them.
I know these stocks and even the technlogy is highy speculative, but given that Bezos, Altman are behind such solutions should wind the price up in the near future? Or when the nuclear mini plants hype really take of if it ever happens?
What is your take on that topic/stocks?
