Investing.com -- SpaceX has entered into a computing power agreement with Nvidia-backed Reflection AI that could be worth $6.3 billion through 2029, according to a CNBC report.
The open-source artificial intelligence startup will gain immediate access to Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) GB300 chips through SpaceX's Colossus infrastructure. Reflection AI has committed to monthly payments of $150 million starting July 1, 2026, the report said.
The contract allows either party to terminate the agreement with 90 days' notice after an initial three-month period.
SpaceX originally developed its Colossus data center to support Grok, Elon Musk's AI chatbot that competes with ChatGPT. The company has since expanded the facility's use to provide computing capacity to external AI firms.
Reflection AI joins several other companies that have secured computing power agreements with SpaceX. Previous deals include arrangements with Anthropic, Google (NASDAQ: GOOGL), and Cursor. SpaceX is currently in the process of acquiring Cursor.
The agreement comes as open-source AI models have gained traction following Anthropic's decision to discontinue access to Fable and Mythos. This move has prompted some organizations to reconsider their dependence on closed AI systems.
