- The author highlights the price difference between GOOGL (Class A) and GOOG (Class C) shares, noting GOOGL's recent premium. While this reflects a minor valuation anomaly, its impact on the broader US equity market is limited. The post underscores the importance of individual research, but the price difference between share classes is unlikely to be a leading indicator for overall market movements.

Why is no one talking about how GOOGL Class A is now worth MORE than GOOG Class C? When I was dumping my entire paycheck into Google stock GOOGL Class A was 5 dollars per share LESS than GOOG. That means that every Google share I was buy was instant 5 dollar profit.
The funny part? I was told in this sub that it didn't matter and to buy GOOG. The fact that people on reddit were so happy to do zero research and just buy GOOG because it looked cooler is insane. Also Warren Buffet buys GOOGL so that tells you which is the better option.
Well now somehow the shares I bought for 5 dollars less are now 2 dollars more than GOOG, just goes to show how Reddit has no clue what they are talking about and to do your own research.
