Unfortunately this can be a viable strategy lol. President Donald Trump's investment accounts made nearly 4,000 individual stock trades during the first quarter of the year. This averaged out to about 65 trades per business day.
There is no reason you cant capitalize on this yourself. Heres a guide on what I do myself to trade Trumps Tweets and everything you should know.
- You need to be fast to catch the tweet, and determine which securities will be impacted. (There are tools to help with this which I will get into later) 2. Before you make any trades, spend a week simply observing how his tweets are affecting the market. Right now, specifically the Iran ones. Watch how they affect defense stocks, crude oil, gold, and the US dollar. Don’t start doing this blindly. 3. Understand that sometimes the moves are already priced in. If Trump Tweets about a policy change or an event thats already been covered by the news, it wont move anything. 4. This is one of the best times to get into this specific strategy. Trump has been super active tweeting about Iran peace deals and going back and forth, I’ve been personally trading crude oil and profiting pretty well from this. 5. Trump tends to like to tweet during market hours. This is (obviously) when the big moves occur. Swing trading is not relevant to this strategy. You wont stay in a single position for that long.
A few ways to catch his tweets: You can download TruthSocial as it’s the fastest but you have to deal with all of trumps bs. The other option to get notified is to use apps like TrumpSignal as it tells you what stocks and securities are affected.
