Am I supposed to just keep holding forever? When do people actually sell?

I’m in my early 30s and honestly feel like I’ve gotten more lucky than skilled. I don’t have a formal investing strategy. I’ve mostly bought companies I hear from investing friends and held them.

Now I’m trying to figure out: - When do you sell a winner? - Do you ever take gains for things like a vacation, home project, or car? - Do I need to rebalance? - What do you do with losers? - Are any of these positions no longer worth holding?
