I am wondering what is the main driver of American Express stock selloff.

  1. Besides the AI fear - there is only one article floating out there with substance about using… crypto. Anyone who reads it knows it is a fear mongering piece. 2. Shrinking of white collar jobs. This is a possibility but the society will be destroyed if white collar job circle shrinks. All the multi billion dollar suburbs that were built on white collar jobs.

Last but not least - would like hear about those who have been holding Amex through the rough times economic downturn in 2008/2009/2010? How does it feel like?

I have also researched the private equity exposure and American Express has the least/minimal exposure compared to the rest of financial institutions.
