
The new North Lamont release from NоvaRed Mining is interesting because it links three different datasets instead of relying on one surface number.
The company reported anomalous copper-in-soil results at the Wilmac Copper-Gold Project, with values reaching 379 ppm copper. The program covered 43 samples, collected at 35 to 40 metre spacing, and tested with four-acid near-total digestion. That method matters because it can recover copper more completely than partial digestion in this kind of intrusive-related setting.
The copper results line up with mapped pyroxenite exposures and a strong magnetic anomaly. That is the key part of the news. In porphyry exploration, one good sample can be noise. A copper anomaly that lines up with magnetic data and intrusive rocks is much more useful.
The Sr\Y and V/Sc ratios add another layer. Sr\Y came back mostly moderate, with several high values, and the strongest values line up with the magnetic anomaly. V\Sc came back moderate across the four-acid samples, with two high values from nearby earlier work. Together, those ratios support the idea of a magma system with porphyry-style potential.
NovaRed's interpretation is that the magnetic anomaly may outline a larger, mostly blind, multi-phase intrusive complex. "Blind" matters here because it means the target may extend below limited surface exposure. That is the kind of thing geophysics is meant to test.
North Lamont is now a moderate-priority drill target, with the planned IP\AMT survey able to upgrade it if the deeper signatures line up. That puts the 2026 geophysics program in a more important position.
CSE: NRЕD and OTCQB: NRЕDF already had the larger Wilmac land story, now around 16,078 hectares. North Lamont gives the company a more specific target story inside that land package.
