Utilising ChatGPT/Claude AI for value-investing

It’s been ~3 years since ChatGPT launched, and I am curious how people here are actually using AI in their investing process.

From my side, I’ve been using it in a few ways:

  1. Learning concepts faster:

Instead of going through multiple websites/books, I use it to break down things like bond pricing, return of capital, margin of safety etc.

  1. Understanding difficult texts:

I paste sections from books or reports and ask it to simplify or explain the assumptions.

  1. Interpreting news and understanding its influence on companies.

I am positively surprised by how useful AI is for structuring thoughts and building workflows. That said, I have noticed— as many of you—that it can sound convincing even when it’s wrong. For example, I tried using it to break down a company’s revenue drivers and estimate intrinsic value, but I found it needed heavy verification.

  2. Where has it genuinely improved your decision-making (not just understanding)?
