Microsoft announced new Surface Pro for Business and Surface Laptop for Business devices powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The devices are available in select markets starting at $1,299.99 for the Surface Laptop 13-inch model.
The Surface Laptop for Business comes in 13-inch, 13.8-inch, and 15-inch configurations, with prices starting at $1,949.99 for the larger models. The Surface Pro for Business 13-inch starts at $1,949.99. All devices feature on-device AI processing capabilities and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity.
Microsoft claims the new devices deliver up to 35% more graphics performance than MacBook Air with M3 chip and more than 90% faster performance than the previous Surface Laptop 5 on select configurations. The Surface Laptop models offer up to 23 hours of battery life.
The devices include security features such as Secured-core PC protection and optional integrated privacy screens on select 13.8-inch Surface Laptop configurations. Microsoft states the devices use memory-safe firmware through Project Mu and Rust-based drivers.
For sustainability, the devices feature 100% recycled aluminum enclosures and are ENERGY STAR certified, outperforming efficiency baselines by at least 45%. The devices are designed for repairability with replaceable components and simplified repair processes.
Microsoft plans to expand the Surface for Business portfolio later this year with models featuring Snapdragon X2 processors, which the company says will deliver up to 80% faster local AI processing compared to previous generations.
The devices integrate with Microsoft’s management platform through Microsoft Intune and support Windows Autopilot for enterprise deployment. They are available through Surface for Business and Microsoft authorized commercial resellers.
