Why is ARS Pharmaceuticals ($SPRY) down despite global neffy approvals?

Key insights

  • ARS Pharmaceuticals' stock is underperforming despite global approvals for Neffy, its needle-free epinephrine nasal spray. This may be due to market skepticism about Neffy adoption rates or concerns about competition from oral epinephrine alternatives like Anaphylm, despite potential advantages of intranasal delivery in emergencies. The market may be pricing in risks related to commercial execution or unforeseen regulatory hurdles.
Why is ARS Pharmaceuticals ($SPRY) down despite global neffy approvals?

I’m trying to understand the recent weakness in ARS Pharmaceuticals stock.

From what I see, the fundamentals actually look pretty strong:

neffy (epinephrine nasal spray) is already approved in the U.S. and EU, and approvals are expanding globally (China approved in Dec 2025, Japan + Europe and just now Canada).

It’s the first needle-free alternative to EpiPen, which seems like a huge advantage (especially for kids / needle anxiety).

Revenue is already ramping (~$70M in 2025), with continued growth expected as prescriptions renew and adoption increases.

So what’s the catch?

Also curious about competition:

Anaphylm (oral film) of aquestive therapeutics had regulatory setbacks. Even if approved, wouldn’t intranasal delivery be faster than oral absorption in an emergency like anaphylaxis? In a condition like anaphylaxis, where minutes matter, intranasal delivery is generally expected to provide a faster and more reliable onset of action compared to oral delivery.

So my main questions:

Why is the stock underperforming despite global approvals?

Is the market underestimating neffy adoption?

How real is the threat from oral epinephrine like Anaphylm?
