ARS Pharmaceuticals appoints Donn Casale as president

ARS Pharmaceuticals Inc. (SPRY) announced the appointment of Donn Casale as president, effective June 1, 2026. Richard Lowenthal will continue as chief executive officer of the biopharmaceutical company.

Casale brings 25 years of biopharmaceutical commercial experience to the role. He will oversee global commercial operations and growth infrastructure as the company prepares for expansion, including advancement into chronic spontaneous urticaria treatment.

The new president most recently served as chief commercial officer at Dynavax Technologies, where he helped scale the hepatitis B vaccine HEPLISAV-B from launch to more than $300 million in annualized revenue and over 50 percent U.S. market share. His tenure there concluded before Sanofi’s $2.2 billion acquisition of Dynavax.

Prior to Dynavax, Casale held leadership roles at Depomed and spent 14 years at Merck in the U.S. vaccines business. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

ARS Pharmaceuticals commercializes neffy, an epinephrine nasal spray approved in the U.S. for emergency treatment of Type I allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis, in adult patients and pediatric patients weighing 33 pounds or greater. The product is also approved in the European Union for similar indications in adults and children weighing 15 kg or greater.

"Donn has built and led commercial organizations that successfully scaled innovative products in large, patient-driven markets similar to our own," said Lowenthal in a statement announcing the appointment.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
