They have the talent, legacy IP and now AI has come along and made creating software very cheap. Not to mention the scarcity value of being one of the few publicly traded gaming companies.

GTA VI should be the most memeable content in a while. AI enables them to make GTA online content efficiently. Put it this way, in this digital age where attention is fragmented across different niches and interest, few things remain cultural institutions like sports, biggest music artist, movie franchises and streamers etc, basically things that can capture attention across the board.

Humans are social creatures, we like to rally behind things and feel like we are apart of something. See the World Cup stadiums, knicks championship run, Taylor swift concerts ,Sandisk and even some feces stocks I can’t mention with trading volumes >100m daily simply becomes a lot of people believed in something.
