- An entrepreneur developed an AI tool to stress-test value investing portfolios based on Buffett, Lynch, and Fisher's principles. The tool audits stocks, tracks fundamental business changes, and filters media noise. While primarily for personal use, the developer is exploring making it public, potentially offering a new approach to investment analysis and portfolio monitoring for long-term investors.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been a software entrepreneur for about 15 years, but my real passion outside of work is value investing. I strictly follow the philosophies of Graham, Buffett, Munger, Lynch, and Fisher.
I have passion for small caps and companies that do not hit headlines somy watchlist grew rapidly over the years. I realized I simply didn’t have enough time to keep track of "story development" of each business and filter out all the market noise.
To save time, I started using AI as a "sparring partner". Over the past couple of years, I’ve heavily optimized a set of prompts to audit businesses and guard my investing theses - which helped to some extent. It works great, but it's still a lot of prompts to execute and read through when you are monitoring dozens of stocks.
So I automated further and built a simple dashboard that communicates with AI using my prompts and outputs everything in a compressed, visual way.
Right now, I have a crude, internal web tool that does two main things for my portfolio:
- Value Investing Audit: It stress-tests all stock I monitor from the perspective of Buffett, Lynch, Fisher and in some cases Munger and Graham - giving me a harsh upside/downside verdict on the business model and current stock price. 2. Thesis Guardian: This part tracks my stocks (almost) daily, filters out 99% of the media noise, and only alerts me if something fundamentally changes in the business (e.g., margins dropping, CapEx spikes) and warns me of upcoming events that could impact business or stock price - so I can investigate further manually and position myself
It’s been a lifesaver for my own emotional discipline and sanity checks, helping me spot red flags and "fat pitches" I would have otherwise missed.
I’m thinking about polishing this backend code into a real, public web app, but before I spend weeks building it, I want to see if it actually brings value to other long-term investors, or this is something just for me :)
I’m looking for not more than 10 experienced value investors who would be willing to test it out with their watchlists and tear it apart with honest feedback. No selling, no fluff, just looking for validation.
Does this sounds like something you'd use? Negative feedback is also very much appreciated, of course :)
Happy to answer any questions :)
Thanks!
