Key insights

  • Jet fuel inventories in the ARA hub have fallen to their lowest level since March 2020 due to decreased imports and steady demand. While this primarily impacts European markets, it could contribute to inflationary pressures in the US through higher airline costs, albeit marginally. Gasoil and fuel oil inventories also declined, while gasoline inventories increased.

Investing.com -- Jet kerosene stocks held independently in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp refining and storage hub fell about 4.7% on the week to their lowest since March 2020 as imports dried up, data from Dutch consultancy Insights Global showed on Thursday.

Jet kerosene stocks declined to 552,000 metric tons even as exports slowed, driven by a lack of imports and firm demand from inland locations, according to Insights Global’s Lars van Wageningen.

Gasoil and diesel stocks fell by 1% to 1.84 million tons.

Gasoline inventories rose 3.3% to 1.15 million tons as exports slowed, Wageningen said.

Fuel oil inventories declined by 12.4% to 656,000 tons, reaching their lowest level since 2017.
