I’ve been looking for ways to improve my stock-picking process. As a long-term investor, I find that analyzing every aspect of a company—financial statements, macro, sentiment, charts, and so on—is incredibly time-consuming. With that in mind, I started using ChatGPT, then Perplexity, Gemini, and now Claude.
In Claude, I’ve developed several files that allow me to work faster. That was just the beginning; over the last few weeks, I’ve created something quite interesting: an AI-powered HTML file. You simply enter a ticker, and the magic happens. Nine AI analysts gather data and debate the stock before reaching a verdict.
The tool became truly valuable when I added two agents: The Bear and the Devil’s Advocate. The first explains why you shouldn't buy, while the second criticizes every agent and highlights their errors. I wanted to avoid confirmation bias at all costs.
Here is the lineup of AI agents:
- Data Scout: Live web search (current price, EPS vs. consensus, breaking news). Feeds all agents. * Macro Strategist: Fed policy, business cycles, sector vs. index, regulatory risk. * Data Hunter: P/E, EV/EBITDA, FCF yield, ROIC, margins, debt, insider ownership. * Sentiment Analyst: Short interest, insider transactions, 13F changes, media sentiment. * The Bear (my star!): Hardwired to find reasons NOT to buy. Focuses on threats and balance sheet holes. * The Chartist: Technicals (MA20/50/200, RSI, MFI, Fibonacci, support & resistance). * Devil’s Advocate: Attacks blind spots and finds what the committee missed. * The CIO: Final verdict + scorecard (1–10) across all categories. * Portfolio Manager: Position sizing, DCA plan, stop losses, and price targets.
