Silver Bow Mining signs contract to rehabilitate Montana mining portal

Silver Bow Mining Corp. (NYSE American: SBMT) signed a contract with MES Mining to rehabilitate and modernize the Chief Joseph portal and underground decline in Butte, Montana. MES Mining operates as a division of Mining & Environmental Services LLC, a U.S.-based engineering and construction firm that specializes in underground mining.

The rehabilitation work aims to restore safe access to existing underground workings and enable the restart of underground exploration activities. The Chief Joseph portal sits on private land at the eastern end of Silver Bow Mining’s Rainbow Block property.

MES plans to mobilize equipment and materials to Butte before the end of May, with rehabilitation work expected to begin in June. The project will support underground exploration from existing and new underground drill platforms, complementing the company’s ongoing surface exploration efforts on the Rainbow Block.

Silver Bow Mining stated the activities operate under Exploration License #00857, Amendment 1, issued by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality. The company confirmed all activities are fully permitted and bonded under this license.

The rehabilitation focuses on creating underground drill stations that will supplement the company’s current surface exploration program in the area.
