Key insights
- A small business owner seeks advice on optimizing their investment portfolio, currently focused on ETFs like IJR, IXUS, IJH, and VOOG. They are considering VOO/VTI for long-term wealth building and are also seeking guidance on balancing business cash reserves with investment strategies. This reflects a broader trend of small business owners seeking diversified investment options, which can have a slightly positive influence on market sentiment and ETF flows.

Small business owner here, looking for investing advice from people further ahead than me
25, own a demolition company. Last year we did a little under 600k revenue. Been trying to get more disciplined with money instead of leaving too much cash sitting around.
Current portfolio is: IJR IXUS IJH VOOG
Pretty much what I carried over from Acorns.
Not really into day trading or meme stocks. Mostly trying to build long term wealth while still growing the business.
Should I keep focusing on these ETFs or are there others I should be paying more attention to? I see a lot of people talking about VOO/VTI lately.
Also curious how other self employed/business owners balance investing vs keeping cash reserves. .
