What is your end goal?

This sub seems all about what stocks are good buys but I’m interested to know if you guys have a sell plan. Ie, presumably we are buying wonderful companies at fair prices and just not selling, even if the market prices the stocks higher than our perceived value? And just benefitting from dividends? I used to have the cigarette butt mindset and kind of still do I guess. Like, if I buy a great company at a discount, then sell when the market catches up to my perceived value. But AI is trying to convince me not to sell, even if it’s say 20% overvalued (giving the known analogy of ripping up the flowers to water the roots). I don’t however want to just benefit fully when I’m old and in a rest home not being able to really use it you know? I’ve seen in WSB people cashing up their million dollar portfolios, but A) that’s a hefty tax bill and B) you are kind of back at square one with no passive income.
