Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Technology sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.88%.

The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kuyas Yatirim AS (IS:KUYAS), which rose 4.53% or 3.30 points to trade at 76.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CVKMD) added 4.10% or 1.32 points to end at 33.52 and Gulermak Agir Sanayi Insaat ve Taahhut AS (IS:GLRMK) was up 3.57% or 6.50 points to 188.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:EFOR), which fell 9.94% or 0.81 points to trade at 7.34 at the close. Kiler Holding AS (IS:KLRHO) declined 8.68% or 11.20 points to end at 117.80 and Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) was down 3.96% or 0.32 points to 7.77.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 328 to 270 and 21 ended unchanged.

Shares in Efor Yatırım Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. (IS:EFOR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 9.94% or 0.81 to 7.34. Shares in Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.96% or 0.32 to 7.77.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.48% or 22.75 to $4,679.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.40% or 0.45 to hit $111.54 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 7.99% or 8.08 to trade at $109.24 a barrel.

USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 44.59, while EUR/TRY fell 0.12% to 51.50.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.52% at 99.98.
