- An investor is seeking advice on holding iShares Physical Gold (SGLN) after experiencing a 10% loss. The decision to hold or sell depends on factors like risk tolerance, outlook on gold prices, and alternative investment opportunities. Rising interest rates and a strong dollar could pressure gold, while inflation or geopolitical instability might support it. The impact on US equities is slightly negative as capital could be diverted from stocks to perceived safe-haven assets like gold during times of uncertainty.

Hi all. Last month I decided to invest in Gold for a one year period in hopes to grow some of my savings beyond bank interest rates. I’m fairly new to trading.
Unfortunately with recent dips I’ve already lost about 10% of what I’ve invested. Should I continue to hold until the end of the 1 year period? What do people think I should do. Is it risky to keep holding in hopes that I will break even or make profit by March 2027?
