Key insights
- The author continues their Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) strategy into VOO despite a market downturn, highlighting the emotional resilience required compared to active stock picking. While acknowledging a minor drawdown, the long-term perspective and consistent investment approach are emphasized. The mention of NVDA's drawdown serves as a contrast to the author's strategy. The immediate market impact is neutral as it reflects an individual's investment approach rather than a systemic market driver.

Oh look, everything is red. Such is life. Along time ago I chose to DCA the VOO. On days like today, everyone is losing their minds. I can only imagine the emotional and mental toll experienced of picking stocks and seeing 10/20/30% drawdowns. I mean even a 5% drawdown would suck and that’s what NVDA is going through as I type this! I’m down 1.67%. Not great, but I don’t even notice. I’m up since my 2020 investment and I’ll never be red. Hope all is well for you ladies. Another $25 into the VOO btw
