Hi,
I am french, been investing since dec 25.
**Here is the context** : France offers a tax-optimized envoloppe called "PEA", or literally "savings to stock plan". Basically, you can invest up to 150k euros in this specific type of account, and only pay social taxes (around 17.6% of your added value after 5 years of existence, versus 31.4% full taxes for your traditional broker). So for french people, PEA is hell of a lot more interesting than going for an international broker when it comes to realizing gains.
**Here's the catch** : you can only invest in european-based companies, OR broad index funds which are made of at least 75% of european companies. Some S&P500 and MSCI world ETFs are eligible because they are based in Ireland (I won’t get into the details).
Needless to say, I did put 75% of my money in a PEA type of account, and the remainder in a traditional broker (DEGIRO).
Due to being able to invest in US companies with "normal" broker, I'm doing much better than my PEA from a strictly performance point of view. I am a passive investor, I have 1 main etf and 2-3 stock picks for each account.
**The question :** I am looking for growth or GARP european companies that would be PEA-eligible and offering good upside perspectives. I already have **ASML** (netherland based), **Air Liquide** (french based) and a boring World ETF.
Some eligible stocks I have in mind :
\- Novo Nordisk (NVO) which I am seriously considering, took a heavy beating these last months ;
\- Nebius group (NBIS).
Are you guys invested in some european companies ? I would be glad to have your insight.
Thanks
