- An investor is considering reallocating their ASML holdings into a semiconductor ETF for diversification and risk management purposes. While acknowledging ASML's strong growth potential, the investor is weighing the risks of holding a single stock over a long-term horizon against the benefits of broader market exposure through an ETF. This reflects a common dilemma in portfolio construction, but has limited direct influence on the broader US equity market.

I got 2 stocks besides my world etf and one of them is asml, its not my biggest position but im up 87%.
Idk if I should sell and put it in the semiconductor etf (which also got asml) because I‘m not here to gamble and want somewhat safety but the Single Position looks so nice and I also see ASML growing in the future, but I want to hold for 15+ years and this could be too long for that stock ig?
What do you think? Is asml okay as a longterm stock or should I switch to the etf ?
Sorry for my english and bad spelling I‘m german:/
