Key insights

  • A retail investor expresses anxiety about upcoming earnings reports for a significant portion of their portfolio (UNH, COIN, AMZN, MSFT, META, DUOL). The investor's fatigue with market news and concern about holding potentially underperforming stocks contribute to a slightly bearish sentiment. However, the limited size of the portfolio and the investor's lack of specific knowledge about the companies' fundamentals suggest a minimal direct impact on the broader US equity market.
Views on my current stock holdings

As a dude turning 30 this year and am on a 4-month career break, I invested more heavily on blue chips. Recently, I realised 6 of my stocks will report earnings over the next weeks (as indicated by the symbol beside the stocks). It makes me a bit anxious as this may cause huge swings in my PnL. Honestly, after 2+ years of selling weekly options and buying stocks, I have become lazy to keep up with the news, as they are just endless and tiring to keep up. Thus, I am lowkey afraid i am holding stocks that is just "slowly dying".

What do you guys think of these holdings, where the earnings are coming out soon? 1. UNH (225 shares): somehow i was a huge fan of UNH, hence holding alot of it. 2. COIN (100 shares) 3. AMZN (100 shares) 4. MSFT (10 shares) 5. META (125 shares) 6. DUOL (50 shares)

Other than these, im also holding 100 LULU and 200 CPRT.
