Hiya! So I don't know whether if this is the right place to post about this, I apologise if not. However I wanted to ask on what it would mean for a company that has stocks plummeting. And when I say plummeting, I mean there hasn't been a general increase for several months. It is a South Korean stock called 'Hybe Co LTD', and their stocks have been declining rapidly from their highest 398k KRW down to 197k KRW over a span of 3 months from March of 2026 onwards.
Obviously, the idols still record music, perform, and go on tour regardless of the market. But from a corporate finance standpoint, how much does a tanking stock price actually hurt a company that relies heavily on intellectual property and human capital?
So looking from the sidelines, do stocks matter for a company that manages Korean groups? Or is it purely there for stock purposes?
EDIT: Just for context, I am not into investing/trading myself, so I don't have a portfolio to sell! I'm just genuinely curious from a business/case-study perspective about what this means for a company's inner workings.
