WESTERN AUSTRALIA - Wishbone Gold Plc (AIM and Aquis:WSBN) announced that a Reverse Circulation drill rig is mobilizing from Perth to its Red Setter Project in the Paterson Province of Western Australia, according to a press release statement.
The Red Setter Project is located 20km southwest of Greatland Gold Plc’s Telfer gold mine and 50km east of Cyprium Metals Ltd’s Nifty copper mine.
The first phase of the 2026 drilling contract covers an estimated 3,500 meters of RC drilling at Red Setter. A second phase involving 4,500 meters of diamond drilling is planned to commence in approximately three weeks. All drill rigs are track-mounted.
The company has designed a 25-hole drill program totaling approximately 9,000 meters. The program aims to test extensions of known gold-copper mineralization, evaluate continuity along a 4km diorite trend, improve understanding of structural controls on mineralization, and target zones of strongest alteration and sulphide mineralization.
Drilling will utilize reverse circulation pre-collars followed by diamond core tails, targeting depths of up to 400 meters.
A heritage survey has been completed on a proposed new road from Nifty to Red Setter, with the final report expected in three to four weeks.
"We are very pleased to have the RC drill rig and drilling team mobilise from Perth to Red Setter," said Richard Poulden, Wishbone Gold’s Chairman. "Apex Geoscience and support teams are on site and ready for their arrival."
