Portfolio “Anchor”

The question is on the portfolio Anchor. I’m new back into the market and if I should have a ETF anchor well I learn to review every thing again. Coming into the market again this seems rediculous what’s going on. And I’m a bit Leary.

So I’m reaching out seeking guidance on my portfolio. I had built up my TSFA prior to and had to sell it to cover starting a business. Currently 35 and am trying to build it back again for retirement without touching till 65-70. Current injection this month was 100K. up 4.5% for the month and adding 5k every 30 days.

Prior to was mostly random stocks and gambles. Also entered in during covid and tripled my money last time and that’s not a normal market. I’m now trying to get a proper portfolio that’s not a gamble but looking for growth. Current portfolio having 50% XEQT monthly reviews on gains to go to XEQT. Trying to build the main 5 out to 5% each and 1-2 percent in other areas. Been out of the market for 3 years.

Looking for advice if I’m on track building this way ,if XEQT is ok to have as my 50% or to low risk for my age, put to a different ETF, or individuals.
