- The potential lifting of US sanctions on Venezuelan oil raises questions about trading the Bolivar. The article explores the difficulty in accessing and trading such currencies, particularly from locations like Germany. While the Bolivar and potentially the Ruble might seem like opportunities, significant risks and access barriers exist for retail investors. The impact on US equities is slightly negative due to potential increased oil supply, but is limited by Venezuela's production capacity.

As latest news say US is going to lift the sanctions gradually on Venezuela‘s oil. That‘s why I was wondering if it is anyhow possible to buy/trade foreign currencies like the Venezuelan Bolivar in order to buy cheap and sell for more? I am not very familiar with buying currencies etc, but my investigation couldn‘t find any options to buy that currency. Is there a workaround go get a hold of these currencies? I live in Germany where I don‘t have quite the direct access to those currencies On another note: At some point this might eventually happen to the Ruble (Russia), but same issue like with the Bolivar.
