I keep hearing that the US has lost its deterrence and superiority against China and that Xi is looking to take over Taiwan especially after seeing US-Iran war.

How much would this impact stocks and index funds like VT? I have a big (to me) chunk of cash I want to put into the market but I am worried it will go down as soon as I put it in. With TSMC chips being so central to AI and index funds like VTI, VT being concentrated in and elevated by AI right now, is there an investment with which one can hedge against this possibility ?
