Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumption and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 3.24%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were Marfrig Global Foods (BVMF:MBRF3), which rose 14.34% or 2.38 points to trade at 19.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Localiza Rent a Car SA Preferred (BVMF:RENT4) added 10.43% or 4.25 points to end at 45.06 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) was up 9.72% or 0.31 points to 3.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3), which fell 2.84% or 1.93 points to trade at 66.17 at the close. SLC Agricola SA (BVMF:SLCE3) added 0.22% or 0.04 points to end at 18.25 and Eneva SA (BVMF:ENEV3) was up 0.44% or 0.11 points to 25.36.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 640 to 329 and 40 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was up 11.17% to 44.69 a new 3-years high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 3.66% or 168.81 to $4,440.79 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 9.15% or 8.99 to hit $89.24 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract fell 0.92% or 2.85 to trade at $306.90 .
USD/BRL was down 1.49% to 5.23, while EUR/BRL fell 1.16% to 6.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 98.94.
