So which stock exploded today?

That stock was Kingboard Holdings (SEHK:148). The company jumped a massive 20.5% today to reach HK$119.3, after it unveiled two big pieces of news: a large-scale stake sale in its laminate subsidiary and a fresh round of product price hikes that underpin just how strong demand for its AI-supporting materials business has become.

Kingboard’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Kingboard Investment, agreed to sell roughly 155 million shares of Kingboard Laminates at HK$76.0 per share, generating net proceeds of approximately HK$11.77 billion ($1.5 billion) — capital management says will be redeployed into expanding PCB production capacity and accelerating R&D. The move came alongside the fifth product price increase of the year, lifting prices across all FR-4 and PP products by 15% on persistently high copper costs and tightening glass cloth supply.

The stock is now up +93.86% in June ALONE and has extended its gains to an eye-watering +486.36% since being selected in February last year, with shares nearly tripling in 2026 alone as demand for chipmaking and circuit board materials accelerates across the global AI buildout.
