Virtualitics names Kristy Friedrichs as chief operating officer

Virtualitics announced the appointment of Kristy Friedrichs as chief operating officer, effective immediately. Friedrichs will oversee operations and human resources functions as the AI technology company scales its business operations.

In her new role, Friedrichs will develop operating models to support company growth and lead human resources initiatives focused on talent acquisition and organizational culture development.

"Kristy brings experienced operational leadership to help guide Virtualitics’ rapid growth," said Michael Amori, CEO and co-founder of Virtualitics. "Her background in high-growth technology companies closely mirrors where we are today."

Friedrichs previously served as chief partnerships officer at Palo Alto Networks, where she managed global partner strategy and strategic alliances. Before that, she held positions as chief people officer and chief operating officer at New Relic, contributing to business scaling and operational execution across departments.

Earlier in her career, Friedrichs spent more than 15 years at Bain & Company, advising Fortune 500 companies and leading operations for the consulting firm’s Bay Area practice.

"I’m excited to join Virtualitics at such a pivotal moment," Friedrichs stated. "The company is helping organizations operate with greater readiness and confidence in complex, highly critical environments."

Friedrichs holds a degree from Duke University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. The company describes itself as providing AI solutions for national security and critical infrastructure sectors, building on research conducted in partnership with Caltech and NASA/JPL.
