Folks, Reddit is not a place where sound, sober political analysis rises to the top. It’s a place where emotionally charged posts get amplified by the most online, hyper-partisan people.

No doubt trump’s rhetoric is unprecedented and unhinged, but if you seriously thought Trump was about to nuke Iran (and it did seem like a lot of people were trading on that), step back from Reddit as a source of political analysis and take a hard, unimpassioned look at the opinions you’ve absorbed from it. The political culture Reddit produces is not sophisticated or healthy, and it is often actively counterproductive.
