SoFi shares jumped Tuesday after the company reported what its CEO called an “exceptional” quarter and lifted its outlook.

Shares of SoFi (SOFI) were up over 15% in Tuesday afternoon trading, after the San Francisco-based company posted third-quarter earnings per share of $0.18 per share on revenue that rose 44% year-over-year to $1.39 billion. Analysts polled by Visible Alpha were expecting $0.17 per share and $1.27 billion, respectively.1

Given what SoFi called “the strength and visibility across the business,” it lifted its full-year guidance for adjusted net revenue, adjusted EBITDA, net income, and EPS, with each metric topping consensus forecasts. SoFi also introduced fiscal 2027 projections for those metrics that easily surpassed Visible Alpha estimates.

“We had exceptional Q3 results against the backdrop of any environment, but they are even more remarkable given how 2026 has unfolded,” SoFi CEO Anthony Noto said in a release. “We are adding more members, who are using more products, and generating more revenue per product to create the most value for our shareholders over the long run.”

Even with today’s surge, SoFi shares have lost more than a third of their value this year.
