Exclusive: Hashgraph lands IBM marketplace listing for AI-agent identity tool

Investing.com -- The Hashgraph Group (THG) has secured a listing for its AI-agent identity software on IBM’s cloud marketplace and signed a global partnership with the U.S. technology company, Investing.com has learned.

The Swiss Web3 and AI firm, which builds enterprise software on Hedera’s distributed ledger, said its IDTrust platform had been validated and listed on the IBM Cloud Catalog, making it among the first commercial Hedera-based applications sold directly as a service through a major cloud marketplace.

The listing puts the tool in front of IBM’s global enterprise clients.

As part of the tie-up, THG said it had qualified for IBM Silver Partner status and signed an Embedded Solution Agreement covering IBM’s cloud and AI technology, allowing it to build IBM tools into its own products.

IDTrust issues verifiable digital identities to AI agents, devices and people, and is already deployed with a European telecoms operator for verified caller identity.

THG is pitching it into a fast-emerging concern known as "Know Your Agent," as companies rush to confirm that autonomous software acting on their behalf is authorized to do so.

Gartner projects 40% of enterprise applications will embed task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026, up from less than 5% in 2025.

"Enterprises are deploying AI agents at scale that can negotiate contracts, process sensitive data, and execute financial transactions autonomously," said Stefan Deiss, co-founder and chief executive of THG.

"The question everyone is now asking and worried about is: how do I know this agent is authorised to act on my behalf? We have solved that problem with our IDTrust solution."

IBM has been a member of Hedera’s governing council since 2019.
