Didn’t get enough Big Tech earnings—or Elon Musk, for that matter—yesterday? You’re in luck.
Today brings more of both. Two Magnificent Seven companies, Meta Platforms (META) and Musk-run Tesla (TSLA), are due to report their latest quarterly results after the closing bell. (We’ll follow the numbers live right here.) Those results will follow yesterday’s numbers from companies including SpaceX (SPCX), which has some investors thinking about the likelihood of a tie-up between the two Musk-run businesses.
This week is a big one for the third-quarter earnings season—big banks turned in their numbers last week, but there are a lot of S&P 500 results yet to land—and for markets. Today investors appeared generally upbeat, with the leading indexes rising and the tech-focused Nasdaq Composite up about 1%. The memory-stock focused Roundhill Memory ETF (DRAM) finished up more than 3%.
Investors also digested a fresh round of news reports containing details from Anthropic’s IPO filing with the Securities and Exchange commission, which detailed both high-powered sales growth and big losses ahead of what’s expected to be another massive deal.
“A successful Anthropic IPO would provide capital to fund its expansion and make many of the revenue projections supporting the hardware and data center companies more achievable,” said Rational Equity Armor Fund Porfolio Joe Tigay in written comments. “That matters for the entire AI trade. But the risks are enormous.”
Shares of Tesla and Meta rose today ahead of their results, while SpaceX climbed roughly 10%. You can read Investopedia’s previews of the Meta and Tesla results here and here, respectively.

Meta Hit With Multibillion-Dollar Fine
The social-media giant must pay billions, Aaron Rennie reports:
New Mexico District Court Judge Francis J. Mathew said Meta must pay the state a $25 billion penalty on Wednesday, a month after a jury determined the Facebook parent committed nearly 44 million violations of the state’s Unfair Practices Act. Each violation carried a penalty up to $5,000, meaning the company potentially could be fined up to nearly $220 billion, but the judge reduced the penalty.

Report: Anthropic IPO Filing Expected This Week
Anthropic’s IPO seems to be creeping closer.
The AI giant, maker of the Claude chatbot, could publicly file its S-1 with regulators on Friday, according to a Yahoo Finance report. Anthropic did not respond to Investopedia’s request for comment in time for publication.
Anthropic could launch an IPO, which some market watchers think would command a starting valuation of $2 trillion, before the end of this year; it would be the second massive AI-powered new listing of 2026, following Elon Musk’s SpaceX in June. OpenAI’s debut could arrive in 2027.
Financial media organizations have already reported details expected to be seen in Anthropic’s filing. The Wall Street Journal this week reported details from what it called a draft filling that included a first-half net loss of more than $80 billion and big revenue growth,
“A successful Anthropic IPO would provide capital to fund its expansion and make many of the revenue projections supporting the hardware and data center companies more achievable,” said Rational Equity Armor Fund Porfolio Joe Tigay in written comments. “That matters for the entire AI trade. But the risks are enormous.”
